Netwine
Netwine is an offline periodic table explorer with element profiles and short chemistry quizzes. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
Netwine does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
Information we collect
None. There is no account, sign-in or registration. The only thing you can type into the app is an optional display name for your profile, and it never leaves your device.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, Netwine stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Your profile: the display name you choose (default “Scholar”) and the avatar you pick.
- Learning progress: elements you have opened, marked as learned or favourited, and per-element counts of right and wrong quiz answers.
- Quiz history: the date, topic, score, duration and best answer streak of each finished quiz, plus your best score per topic and earned medals.
- Settings: quiz length, timer on/off, reduced motion, temperature unit, whether element names show on the table, and whether you have seen the intro.
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to Netwine or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
The Android release of Netwine requests no runtime permissions: no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or storage access. The iOS build declares no usage descriptions either.
Network use
The app works fully offline. All 118 element profiles and every quiz question are bundled inside the app, and it makes no network requests of its own.
Third-party services
No analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs are integrated. The app uses open-source libraries for on-device storage (Isar), charts and animation only; none of them send data anywhere.
Children's privacy
Netwine is suitable for students of all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).
Your rights
Everything the app stores stays in its private storage on your device. You can rename your profile at any time, and uninstalling the app (or clearing its data in system settings) permanently deletes all of it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to export or erase on our side.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
